What are non renewable energy sources?

Non renewable resources are coal and oil.  These are naturally made by the planet, but the planet does not replenish these resources, which is why we call these sources of energy non renewable.  We cannot keep using these resources because they will eventually run out due to the planet not replenishing these energy sources.  These resources are commonly used in households and cars today.  It is efficient, but not sustainable.

Coal is mined for in mountains on the planet.  The way that they do this is effective, but it also is not sustainable because the ways they use to mine and transport the coal to make it into an energy source cause green house gasses to occur.

Oil is pumped out of the ground.  This is called fracking, because when we go down to get the oil we are fracturing the crust of the planet.  This method is efficient but is highly dangerous for the community around the fracking site.  What happens around the fracking site will be earthquakes, because of the fracturing of the earths crust and that causes the tectonic plates to move more often, because there is more activity underground.  Another big issue with the fracking industry is that  since they have to go deep under ground to get the oil, they have to go past the underground aqua fore when they fracture that area chemicals from the oil drilling process get into the drinking water that is supplying a town or city around the fracking site.  I have seen that the tap water in homes around these fracking sites have dirty water and even the water can be set on fire due to the highly flammable chemicals that have seeped into the water source for that community.
